APPROVAL OF AGENDA

PRESENTATIONS RECOGNITION OF THE LOMITA PARK YOUTH SPORTS BASKETBALL TEAM WINNERS

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Persons wishing to speak on Consent Agenda items or subjects other than those scheduled are requested to do so at this time. In order to conduct a timely meeting, a three (3) minute time limit per person has been established. Government Code Section 54954.2 prohibits the Council from discussing or taking action on a specific item unless it appears on a posted agenda.

CONSENT AGENDA All items under the Consent Agenda are considered by the Council to be routine and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. There may be separate discussions of these items prior to the time the Council votes on the motion. Specific items may be removed from the Consent Agenda at the request of any Councilmember or staff. RECOMMENDED ACTION: That Consent Agenda Items 7a-7e be approved.

SCHEDULED ITEMS

a. Additional funding for the 247th Street Area Water Main Replacement Project and Revised Match Commitment Letter to FEMA Presented by Lina Hernandez, Assistant City Manager RECOMMENDED ACTION: Appropriate an additional $930,517 in addition to the previously approved $1,499,846, plus 20% contingency of $486,073 for unexpected costs, for a project total not to exceed $2,916,436 for the City of Lomita’s 247th Street Area Water Main Replacement Project; and authorize the City Manager to execute a revised Match Commitment Letter to FEMA.

b. Discussion and Consideration to Adopt a Resolution Directing the Public Works Director to Prepare the Engineer's Report for Landscape Maintenance District No. 1 Presented by Lina Hernandez, Assistant City Manager RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt a resolution directing the Public Works Director to prepare the Engineer’s Report for Landscape Maintenance District No. 1. RESOLUTION NO. 2025-07 – A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOMITA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO PREPARE AND FILE THE ENGINEER’S REPORT FOR LOMITA LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972, DIVISION 15, PART 2 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2025, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2026
